What Is A Course in Miracles?

A Course in Miracles (commonly referred to as “ACIM” or “the Course”) is a tool, arranged as a self-study course, designed to train the mind to consistently think with Jesus and/or the Holy Spirit. Through a disciplined practice of practically applying its principles, a consistent state of happiness and peace comes to the mind of the student.

David Hoffmeister Sharing about ACIM

Listen to David Hoffmeister share what A Course in Miracles is and how, through the practical application of its teachings, your mind can radically shift from fear to love.

Brief History of A Course in Miracles

The Course was initially scribed and typed up during the years of 1965–1972 by two professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia University: Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford. It consists of three books: a 669-page Text, a 488-page Workbook for Students, and a 92-page Manual for Teachers. The order in which someone chooses to use the books, and the ways in which they study them, depend on their particular needs and preferences.

With the aid of Ken Wapnick, Robert Skutch, Judith Skutch Whitson, and philanthropist Reed Erickson, “the Course” was published on June 26, 1976 and has gone on to sell over 3 million copies in 25+ languages.
